Downtown Vicksburg's 15th Annual Mardi Gras Parade will be held Saturday, February 6, 2016, at 4:00 p.m. in Downtown Vicksburg. Come join in the celebration as area clubs, churches, organizations, schools, and businesses take part in this community parade.
The NRoute Trolley Express Vicksburg starts transporting visitors to Vicksburg’s accommodations, attractions, shopping, dining and convention center on Friday December 4, 2015. There will be a ribbon cutting at 10:00 a.m. at the south entrance of The Old Depot Museum, 1010 Levee Street.

The Vicksburg Main Street Program is ready to have you Jingle All the Way through Downtown Vicksburg in the 2015 Downtown Vicksburg Christmas Parade of Lights. The parade will take place on Saturday, December 5, 2015 beginning at 5:00 p.m. You can expect to see anything from Rocking Around the Christmas Tree to seeing all the little ones Christmas joy and more with the parade theme being "The Music and Magic of Christmas". All area Clubs, Churches, Organizations, Schools, Drill Teams, and Businesses are encouraged to take place in this community family-oriented parade.
Join us for an evening of live music and fun in downtown Vickbsburg at "Downtown at Dusk" on Thursday November 19, 2015 from 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm at the River Stage Plaza (corner of Crawford & Washington Streets). The event is open to the public. Bring your own chairs. Live performance by Ben Shaw from 6 pm to 8 pm) and DJ Reo from 5:30 pm - 6:00 pm and then again from 8:00 pm until 8:30 pm.

VICKSBURG, MISS. (September 11, 2015): Vicksburg has been named as a Great American Main Street Association semi-finalist putting it in the Top 10 Main Streets in the United States.
The award from the National Main Street Center selects finalists based on their “overall strength of the Main Street in creating an exciting place to live, work, play and visit, commitment to historic preservation, active involvement of public and private sectors and participation of partnerships.”

Vicksburg celebrates Independence Day with a weekend full of live music, living history presentations, a boat parade, shopping sales and a fireworks show over the Vicksburg riverfront.
The fireworks finale will be Saturday night following a 7:00 p.m. performance by Mustache The Band, a country/rock band from Oxford, Miss. The stage will be set up in front of the Old Depot Museum, 1010 Levee Street. The fireworks will be shot from behind the museum on the Yazoo Diversion Canal beginning around 9:00 p.m. Prime viewing spots will be along Washington Street in front of the Vicksburg Farmers Market lot.

Vicksburg Main Street is proud to host the Miss Mississippi Parade on Monday, June 22nd at 7:00 p.m. in downtown Vicksburg. Head Downtown and watch Miss Mississippi contestants parade the town, and all that jazz! The theme of the Miss Mississippi Pageant is "All That Jazz", so "slick your hair and wear your buckle shoes" and join us downtown to greet all of the talented contestants and all that jazz!
Bricks and Spokes celebrates its 6th Annual Bike Ride on Saturday, October 3rd. Bricks and Spokes begins at 8:00 a.m. On-site registration will begin at 7:00 a.m. There will four routes available: 10 miles, 30 miles, 50 miles and 62 miles. All routes will take you from beautiful Downtown Vicksburg and Warren County across the Mighty Mississippi River by way of The Old Mississippi River Bridge. The ride will consist of Vicksburg’s great rolling hills and beautiful fall scenery. The ride will be fully supported with rest stops where you can fill up on snacks!
