Vicksburg Welcomes Back Trolley Service with the NRoute Trolley Express

The NRoute Trolley Express Vicksburg starts transporting visitors to Vicksburg’s accommodations, attractions, shopping, dining and convention center on Friday December 4, 2015. There will be a ribbon cutting at 10:00 a.m. at the south entrance of The Old Depot Museum, 1010 Levee Street.

Combining the nostalgic charm of the past with modern day comforts such as air conditioning and a smooth ride, the 24-passenger Trolley Express will provide convenient and affordable transportation for those who choose to park their car and leave the driving to the conductor! The Trolley Express will be operating from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Daily tickets can be purchased for $4.00 (adults), $.50 (children ages 3-12), and free (children 2 and under). Passengers will receive a Vicksburg Visitors Guide which includes a comprehensive map of the attractions of the city. There will be free rides given the first week of operation.

Providing transportation within Vicksburg’s main tourist areas, the service includes stops at the Old Depot Museum on Catfish Row, Cedar Grove Mansion in the Garden District, the corner of Crawford and Washington Streets in the Downtown Shopping District, The Old Court House Museum, and Duff Green Mansion in Old Town Vicksburg, the Southern Cultural Heritage Center, and the Outlets at Vicksburg. Markers will be placed at all stops so passengers will easily find the Trolley Express.
