Downtown Vicksburg’s 17th Annual Mardi Gras Parade moved to Monday February 12, 2018

On behalf of the Vicksburg Main Street Board of Directors and the City of Vicksburg, the 2018 Downtown Vicksburg Mardi Gras Parade has been rescheduled for Monday, February 12, at 5:30 p.m. It has been rescheduled due to the probability of heavy rain and thunderstorms throughout the weekend.

The Vicksburg Main Street Program is looking for “krewes” who wish to participate in Downtown Vicksburg’s 17th annual Mardi Gras Parade. All area Clubs, Churches, Organizations, Schools, Drill Teams, and Businesses

2nd Annual River Revelers' Masked Ball

Vicksburg Main Street invites you to a night of dining, dancing, mystery and fantasy at the 2nd Annual River Revelers' Masked Ball on February 3rd from 7:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m. This fundraiser for Main Street is a black-tie affair with a cash bar and live music by Dreamers. Tickets are $50 per person and include dinner, table sponsorships are $500 and include business recognition at the event. Become a table sponsor by emailing .

8th Annual Bricks and Spokes Bike Race

Don't miss out on one of the best road races in Mississippi. The 8th annual Bricks and Spokes bike race will be help Saturday, September 30, 2017. Downtown Vicksburg Video Contest

Enter your video in the Downtown Vicksburg Main Street Video Contest. This video contest sponsored by Vicksburg Main Street (VMS) will showcase the sights and activities of Vicksburg.


Each video submitted has the chance to be used on the VMS website and other social media outlets and in live venues to promote downtown Vicksburg as a destination and/or a great place to live. A winner will be chosen by the inclusion of judge’s selection. 1st Place winner will receive $250, 2nd Place will receive $150 and 3rd Place will receive a downtown gift basket. Videos will be judged by a panel on creativity, originality, memorable content and delivery, production quality, favorable promotion of downtown Vicksburg in general. An entry form must be submitted with each video. So grab your camera and submit your best downtown Vicksburg video!

Miss Mississippi Pageant 2017

Miss Mississippi Parade Set for June 19th

The Miss Mississippi Parade will be held Monday, June 19th, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in Downtown Vicksburg. The parade begins at Washington and Veto Streets and will travel North on Washington Street to Mulberry Street. If you have or know someone with a convertible that would like to drive a contestant in the parade call the Main Street Office at 601-634-4527 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. 2017 Mardi Gras Parade

The Vicksburg Main Street Program is looking for “krewes” who wish to participate in Downtown Vicksburg’s 16th annual Mardi Gras Parade. All area Clubs, Churches, Organizations, Schools, Drill Teams, and Businesses are invited to take place in this community parade. Downtown Vicksburg’s 16th Annual Mardi Gras Parade will be held Saturday, February 25, 2017, at 4:00 p.m. in downtown Vicksburg. The deadline to submit an application for your krewe is Friday, February 17th. The fee is $25 for non-profit and civic groups and $50 for businesses. After Friday, February 17th the fee is $50 for non-profit and civic groups and $100 for businesses. It’s time for catching beads, king cake, fantastic masks, flamboyant costumes, stars, floats and best of all parades!

 

The parade begins at Washington and Belmont streets and will travel North on Washington Street to Jackson Street.

River Revelers' Masked Ball

Vicksburg Main Street invites you to a night of dining, dancing, mystery and fantasy at the River Revelers' Masked Ball on February 18 from 6:30 p.m.-12 a.m. Cocktails will be served at 6:30, dinner at 7:00 and live music will begin at 8:00. This black-tie affair will have a cash bar and live music by GOT Groove, straight out of New Orleans. Tickets are $50 per person and $500 per table and includes dinner.

 

Make a statement and try your chance at being the King or Queen of the River Revelers’ Masked Ball and the following weekend at the Downtown Vicksburg Mardi Gras Parade. Candidates for the Mardi Gras King and Queen will be voted on at the ball by attendees of the ball. The King and Queen will be crowned at the ball and receive city recognition!
