Join us in Downtown Vicksburg for one of the grandest events in the state of Mississippi. It's a week long celebration complete with parades, autograph parties, and climaxes with the crowning of a new Miss Mississippi on Saturday night.

The pageant kicks off on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at 8 p.m. at the Vicksburg Convention Center. It begin eachs night at 8 p.m. and the crowning is on Saturday night. For more information and to purchase tickets to the pageant visit www.missmississippipageant.com or call 601-638-6746.

PAGEANT SCHEDULE

Preliminary rounds are Wednesday night through Friday night with each contestant grouping competing in talent, swimwear, evening wear, and an on stage question.

On Saturday night, the top 10 is announced and competes in all four categories. At the conclusion of Saturday's round, Miss Mississippi will be crowned!

PAGEANT HISTORY 

Miss Mississippi is a scholarship pageant and a preliminary of Miss America. The contest began in 1934, has been held in Vicksburg since 1958, and provides more money than any other scholarship pageant in the Miss America Organization. [1]

Four Miss Mississippis have won the Miss America crown: Mary Ann Mobley (1959), Lynda Lee Mead (1960), Cheryl Prewitt (1980), and Susan Akin (1986).
